4 Principles to Create
Intentions or Resolutions

1- “If We Don’t Ask, We Don’t Get”
The Universe operates as a creative system that relies on
our intentions and wishes to manifest what we desire. We need to generate
positive mental vibrations for the things we want and do so with full
commitment and heart.
2- “Wanting or Wishing Must Be an Ongoing Task”
Wishing for something just once creates a response from the
universe that lasts only as long as the strength of our desire. However, once
that intention fades, the universe stops responding. This is why we should
consistently express the same intention—frequently repeating it helps maintain
the flow of manifestation.
3- “The Strongest Intentions Are Those Made in Our First
Circle”
The first circle encompasses everything related to
ourselves, including our thoughts and emotions. When we create wishes connected
to this inner circle, the universe responds more quickly and powerfully
compared to wishes made concerning the second or third circles, which involve
other people both near and far.
4- “We Need to Combine Fixed Intentions with Spontaneous
Intentions”
It’s important to have clear, positive intentions for our
body, mind, and spirit, and to remind ourselves of them daily if we can.
However, we should also be ready to adapt and create spontaneous intentions as
different situations arise in our lives.

Depression Stigma Free Seekers
Have New Hope this
Mental Illness Awareness Week
Depression stigma free seekers have new hope with the resent released book “Returning to Happiness… Overcoming Depression with Your Body, Mind, and Spirit,” which shares an amazing true story and brings crucial information that may change the course of approaching depressive states forever
Ana Agosto, president of the club where Spanish and Portuguese are spoken, is pleased with the growing numbers of members which stands at three dozen and counting. This presentation represents an effort to keep the tradition of Spanish language media alive and well. While many of the members’ children can read Spanish, they are more likely to consume English-language publications.
Bucking the trend, Isabel Dumas, a guest of author Noris Capin, is on holiday from Canada. She reads in both Spanish and English and shared with CoconutCreekNews.net that her mother is pleased she still reads in Spanish. It may be one way she keeps her language skills up because there are few Spanish speakers where she lives.
Fellow Canadian, John Brouillette, learned Spanish in school and loves the Spanish-language soap operas. While he reads mostly in English, he often likes to read Spanish-language magazines, the bible and sometimes books in Spanish to maintain his proficiency.
Yolanda Fernandez, a club member reads in Spanish, looked forward to the lecture and the great food that would be served after the authors spoke.
Goodwill Ambassador for Hispanic Book Month in Coconut Creek, Doria Garcia Albernaz previewed her recently published poetry anthology. Twelve members of El Grupo de Lectores Pilar Veléz collaborated on “Equilibrios Contrarios.” The book of poetry is a tribute to Federico Garcia Lorca, one of the most important poets and playwrights of the twentieth century, belonging to the Generación del 27.
A former educator and journalist, Alberto Romero discussed his self-published work “El Chino Angelito Cuam.” Its cover featured a picture of the entryway to old Chinatown in Havana. In its heyday, the neighborhood was one of the largest in Latin America encompassing 44 City blocks. Romero’s novel is based on an actual story that has been embellished from his own imagination. “I can make a story from anything.”
The authors covered many subject areas including a police thriller by Patty Rebellón. Her two-part novel “Corazones Elite: El Enceuntro” and “Corazones Elite: Renacer” drew from her deep and long-term love of mysteries. Colombian-born Rebellón was raised on the works of Agatha Christie and loves television dramas like the CSI franchise and Criminal Minds. She chooses to write in Spanish to connect with her roots while she speaks fondly of the United States, her 20-year home: “Love this country.”
The last two writers tackled tough subjects and used spirituality and personal experiences to connect with others who need to overcome obstacles common to many women. Noris Capin’s “¡Mujer, Levantate!: Reflexiones de Apoyo Y Crecimiento Espiritual” (Woman, Rise Up!: Reflections of support and spiritual growth) started as a book of healing for her while she went through a divorce. The book is comprised of 13 short chapters that reflect on hope, faith, divorce and domestic violence. Capin also published a follow-up book of poetry. “Now that I am healed; I can let it out.”
The final author, Patricia Gaviria, described herself as an Author, Speaker, and Promoter of Personal Growth. While Gaviria writes in Spanish, she also translated her own books into English, because she “wanted to feel it” and make sure her words did not lose their nuances in the process.
Gaviria battled depression for 20 years. In 2004 when a friend committed suicide, she started writing and wanted to share how she changed her life with natural tools to balance the body, mind and spirit. “I work with people and I see the difference. Understanding things from a different point of view changes everything” and helps to stop the roller coaster of alternating highs and deep lows.

We have to understand that if a majority is affected while
helping a minority, the very foundation of societies will be weakened. We must
not discriminate based on race, color, sex, religion, party, or economic level.
However, society "YES" has to identify very well and reject those (regardless of their
stratum, position, or condition) who are destructive to the performance of life
in community... and support those (regardless of their stratum, position, or
condition) who are constructive for it.

REFLEXIONS by PATRICIA GAVIRIA
"The real evolution of a society begins with the physical, mental,
and spiritual balance of each of its members"
“Although the path we walk on is cloudy... inside us, there is always a powerful light that illuminates it”
